In a world full of pornography,
this workbook helps parents build
resistance within their child.
Raising children in the digital age comes with incredible benefits, from limitless information to endless entertainment. But there is a dark side to the infinite content available online, and one of the most pernicious dangers is the easy availability of pornography. Whether you have a preschooler playing on a tablet or a teen scrolling through their phone, it’s never too late to prepare your children for the day they will inevitably be confronted with pornographic content.
Help for Parents
If this has happened to you (or when it does), you are not a failure and you are not alone! You are simply a parent in the digital age. And it is time to learn how to prepare yourself and your child to be able to manage this challenging time.
Parents are finding themselves frustrated or overwhelmed as they try to protect their children from pornography. While filters, rules, and monitoring are important, they eventually fail, leaving children vulnerable to the harmful effects of pornography.
Building pornography resistance in your child is a process that takes time and effort, but it is something parents can control. And you or your child don’t have to be perfect! You both just have to keep trying.

Reviews
learned so much from Prepare Your Child. For such an overwhelming topic Jill gave me the tools that I could immediately put into practice with my kids. Being surrounded by pornography around every corner, I was hyper focused on the prevention. Now I’ve learned to give my kids the tools to become pornography resistant. I’ve learned that communication and love is essential and shame is never beneficial. I highly recommend this book to everyone that has any association with kids/teens.

Prepare your Child has been a true blessing to my family. It not only educated me in a shame-free way, it walked me through ways to open dialogues with my kids and to build relationships that will shape our family for generations to come. The book brings pornography education to a new level by considering the whole child and his/her well-being. It treats pornography as the symptom and addresses the roots of the problem, thereby fortifying a child.

Yes, this book teaches a parent how to help their child become resistant to pornography, but the biggest take away for me was that it taught me how to nourish a communicative relationship with my not so naturally communicative teen. The analogies throughout the book were relatable, thought provoking and made the book interesting to read. A very quick read and informative book for every parent of preteens or teens who want to help their child develop a relationship with Christ.

I got this book because I wanted to be a step ahead of my kids in protecting them from the dangers of pornography. I thought PREPARE YOUR CHILD: PORNOGRAPHY RESISTANCE might give me more information about how my child and I can learn together and keep an open dialogue. I was not disappointed. This book helped me so much. I learned a lot about what to do when your child has viewed pornography and what the next steps are to keep the shame out of the experience. However, the magic of this book is that it is a workbook which lets both you and your child work through it together with love keeping the fear at bay. Moving forward, I know I’ll be able to see the signs and feel confident that I’m doing the best I can do for my children. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has children growing up in the world which is everyone!!
